Lying Brings Discipline

All liars who have not trusted Christ are going to hell. A believer who lies will be disciplined but will go to heaven. God will not allow a son or daughter to continue to sin, they will at some point confess and stop sinning.
1 Corinthians 3:15 "If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire."
Hebrews 12:6 "FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 3:9 "No one who is born of God practices (continue sinning) sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
Sadly, many believers are living as though they have never been born again, leaving doubt as to their salvation. Keep in mind that any child of God who is sinning will experience serious discipline, even losing rewards in heaven.
God does not tolerate sin in his children, and tells us that no child of God will keep on sinning, the Holy Spirit will nag them until they repent. They will be ashamed of their sin when confronted. Those who fight and argue to defend or justify their sinfulness without conscience, even attacking those who warn them, have not been born again, they are pretenders.
Those who are born again have within them a strong desire to obey and are disappointed in themselves, broken until they confess. The problem in our culture is that we believe words, actions don't matter very much as long as the words came out right.
God teaches us that what is in our heart is what comes out in actions, the heart condition comes first and then the actions. If we have made it to sinful actions then we know the heart is sinful, in need of confession and turning. If we are stubborn in refusing to confess or turn, then we will be disciplined, sometimes in ways that are devastating and last a lifetime.
Hebrews 12:5 "and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;"
Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
