We become more confident when we confess our sin, know that it is cleansed and we are moving closer to the holiness we seek in Christ.
1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
When we believe Christ we can move forward no longer guilty but a little more mature in the Lord.
Those who desire to hold us back will treat us as thought nothing has changed in us.
Those who love Christ are excited about what has happened to us and join in our joy.
Psalm 16:9 "Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure."
Romans 12:15-16 "15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be conceited.…"
