Feelings Vs Senses

Feelings seem different to me than senses. Feelings come quickly run hot and dissipate, they are more reactive, but "senses" are a steady discernment that nags at us.

We cannot trust our feelings, but we can trust the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

I have had "senses" about things many times and every time they were proven right.

Discernment comes from God after having been trained in truth through the Word of God.

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”

Proverbs 3:13 “Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,”

Philippians 1:9 “And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment…”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

James 3:17 “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.”
