No one can make us believe as they do, no one can force us to accept their belief system merely because they attempt to harm us.
Bullying in school has been common for as long as man kind has existed.
Cain killed Able out of jealousy, because God accepted Able's sacrifice but did not accept Cain's.
And, we see by Cain's actions, that God was proven right. Cain showed that his heart was angry, jealous, disrespectful and evil all along or he would have been ashamed rather than raging to the point of murder.
Bullies will always eventually be caught, they are so deeply invested in self preservation that they make a lot of mistakes and sometimes with the very people who have been supply for them.
Eventually the victims of bullies will come to their senses and realize they have been used and abused long enough and it will be over forever.
Even when the bully comes to apologize, they may be forgiven, but there has been so much abuse for such a long period of time that they will never be trusted again by their victim.
Just like Cain, the bully revictimizes their target over and over again attempting to kill their soul. There is murder in the heart of the bully, their aim is to destroy the one they bully.
We cannot help these people, when reason and dialogue is refused or we know we will very likely end up in another bullying tactic worse than all the others, then it is time to let go and let God. Resolve to disallow any more bullying by leaving and not returning.
This is when it is right and good to pray for the bully, but that does not translate into continued contact. We must move on to healthy relationships in which all parties love one another God's way.
Hallelujah, we may not have many friends in our community as believers, but we have wonderful brothers and sisters all over the world who love Christ as we love Him, let's focus on those people.
And then, we can rejoice together that we will one day be out of here at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, where our Groom will be full of love and kindness.
1 John 3:11-13 "11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own deeds were evil, while those of his brother were righteous. 13 So do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.…"
