Obedience to Mother and Father

Instruction in becoming an adult begins for children at birth. A child who is left to themselves without proper instruction will remain a child all of their lives.

Proverbs 29:15-16 "15 A rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother. 16 When the wicked thrive, rebellion increases; but the righteous will see their downfall."

Exodus 20:12
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you."

Proverbs 1:8-9
"Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck."

Ephesians 6:1-3
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

Proverbs 10:1
"The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother."

Proverbs 20:20
"If one curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness."

Those who constantly preach that a child must be allowed to be a child are basing their stance on psychology not the Bible.

Childhood is the training ground for adulthood. We have more 40 year old people who have a six year old mentality now than we have ever had.

A person who has been instructed all through childhood will not be sensitive to it when adults disagree with them. We have many if not most snowflakes these days because the children have not been chastised, corrected, instructed and expected to obey all through their growing years. When they become adults they are enraged when corrected. They have no thought of honoring their parents in the way they live or through valuing their opinion.

Those who have been excessively praised as children are hyper sensitive to disagreement, they see it as a personal attack, rather than an opportunity to learn and grow.

Our world is growing more wicked every day because the young children are being excessively praised, self absorbed they demand their own way without thought of their actions or attitudes on others.

My prayer often is that those who are raised in this monstrous fashion will see their own sinfulness, confess it and desire to be changed by Christ. Most will not, most will be angry and stubborn at the suggestion that they are not gods in their own right.

Welcome to the end times: 2 Timothy 3
