Many Fakers, Many Pretenders

In these last days there will be many fakers, those who Hollywood who would claim to be Christian but their fruit is rotten. They love to pretend they walk the Christian life while at the same time twisting the word of the Bible to say things they like to believe.

These people are not seeking Christ, they are wanting the safety of the gospel without a desire to obey Christ. They disobey more of the Bible than they obey while claiming to love it.

Matthew 15:7-9 "…7 You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you: 8‘ These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”…"

Matthew 7:21-23
"21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"

There are far more Christians in these days who are embarrassed at the mention of the name of Christ than who love to speak of Him. This ought to be a clue, when we love someone we speak of them often.

John 14: 9-11 "…9 Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.…"
