Which to Pursue, Joy or Happiness?

If we depend on our own strength and mind to produce happiness we only end up with phony superficial pretense. Happiness comes and goes based on our own desires.
If we depend on Christ knowing He is everything we will have constant joy, even in the midst of trials and tears that joy never leaves us.
Happiness is a temporary feeling based on circumstances.
Joy is an inner peace from God that never goes away.
Born again believers ought not to be seeking happiness, even though they have it often, they ought to be seeking Christ, and that joy He gives from walking with Him will be permanent and carry great inner strength. He is our strength and our joy.
Nehemiah 8:10 "10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH."
Those who seek continual happiness through adventure will never have joy. Their seeking of happiness and adventure only brings many downtimes when the adventures are gone. In order to have happiness adventure seekers must keep seeking more and more adventures, without the adventures they feel empty.
The joy of the Lord is continually every moment, through all things, even the things that bring grief. That is worth more than any superficial experience that only lasts until the circumstance is passed.
Superficial adventure for obtaining happiness must be continually sought in order to remain happy. God's joy in us is continual and sustaining in all things.
