Psalm 42:3 "My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
Ruth 1:9 ""May the LORD grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept."
2 Kings 8:11 "He fixed his gaze steadily on him until he was ashamed, and the man of God wept."
2 Kings 20:3 ""Remember now, O LORD, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart and have done what is good in Your sight " And Hezekiah wept bitterly."
Job 16:16 ""My face is flushed from weeping, And deep darkness is on my eyelids,"
Psalm 56:8 "You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle Are they not in Your book?"
Jeremiah was called the "weeping prophet", because he was so grieved over what he knew God was going to do in response to sin in the land. He preached and preached only to have the people ignore him.
I have noticed when I have been deeply distressed by this world and the cares of life seemed to much, that crying tears and out to God, brought tremendous relief. Circumstances didn't change often, but the emotional pain of them left when I prayed and wept.
God created crying, do it without shame or apology!
