It is clear that if there were no police, the evil would flourish while the righteous will be persecuted. The laws are for the lawless.
1 Timothy 1:8-10 "…8 Now we know that the Law is good, if one uses it legitimately. 9 We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching…"
Isaiah 26:10 "10 Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the LORD."
It is clear from my study of narcissism that evil people do not get better when treated kindly, they get worse. The more we allow their evil with a plastic smile on our faces, so that they will like us and then like Jesus is a silly notion at best. The longer we allow evil in our midst, the more they feel empowered.
We are never to do bad to evil people, but we must speak the truth to them and avoid them if they will not listen. Their constant resistance to Christ and His principles will keep us on an unnecessary irrational roller coaster ride.
