The Last Days Traditions

In these last days, we might be spending more time encouraging the sheep than preaching to the goats.

We are living in the days of Noah, we must speak truth to saved and unsaved as led by the Holy Spirit while expecting that most will not listen.

We now have more goats in the church gatherings than sheep. Most do not want to hear the truth, nor do they accept correction when wrong doctrine comes into the gathering and there is much wrong doctrine in all the gatherings.

When we are seeking truth many things God shows us will be contrary to the traditions of men that they hang onto so tightly. They will not pray to find truth when confronted, they will merely argue, fight and defend that which God never gave.

Colossians 2:8
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ."

Matthew 15:3
"He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?"

2 Timothy 4:2-4
"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

Correction according to God's Word has been rejected in the modern church, as though it is rude, and yet God commanded it daily that all might remain on a pure and straight path of truth.

1 Timothy 1:4
"Nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith."

Let us never become lazy in accepting things simply because its what our culture does. Let us pray for truth in everything.
