This is happening a lot in these last days, the devil is into everything and influencing nearly everyone to act badly. I recall when Christ looked at Peter and said; "get the behind me SATAN", He didn't say "get thee behind me Peter" because He was not talking to Peter, He was talking to the devil who was influencing Peter.
Matthew 16:22-24 "…22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!” 23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men. 24 Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me."
1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
We live in a day when many people are influenced more by the devil than by God because they are resisting God to defend their own thoughts and ideas. But their thoughts and ideas are coming from devils, not from God.
In order to be thinking the righteous way, one must be thinking with the mind of Christ. The only way to think with the mind of Christ is to read His word and ask the Holy Spirit to guide all that you think and do.
When someone explodes at you for exposing their sin it is the clue that they are not seeking Christ. They may be pretenders who care only about appearances rather than truth.
Lots of people in the church today believe they're merely saying they believe the principles of the Bible is enough, they are not concerned about actually living or being holy.
The most abused people today are those who expose the sin in those who claim to be Christians. In 2 Timothy 3:5 God says these people have a "form of religion" but deny God in their attitudes and actions. They refuse to self-reflect to see if they are what they claim to be.
If you want to know your real self, as God to expose whatever is in you that does not please Him.
Just saying you believe something is nothing, the proof you really believe it is when you obey it without effort. We do what we love to do, we obey God when we can't do anything else but obey, so fully compelled by Him that we hardly notice we are obeying.
Romans 8:13-15 "…13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”…"
It is better to say nothing than to say you love God and live as though you do not.
