Worship what is it !

God has closed down all the mega-churches during this pandemic.

He used wicked people to punish this country and the world. Giving them a chance to reflect on their dishonor of Him.

I believe He is grieved at the foolishness that goes on in most church gatherings.

I was in a Baptist church a few years ago and the joking and silliness going on made me feel ill. I wanted to walk out but I was visiting a friend, it was her church so I had to stay and endure it.

It was agonizing for me to sit through the nonsense. This church had about 3000 people in it and the pastor made a joke about the commode (toilet) lid falling in the night and disturbing his peace. The people roared with laughter and I wondered what this had anything to do with Christ. The entire service was basically one long laugh fest. They would say this was the joy of the Lord, but I would say it was pretending to have joy when it was nothing more than superficial foolishness.

Is it any wonder that more and more born again believers are leaving the church buildings to worship at home or with friends? Those who love the Lord want to worship in Spirit and in Truth. They want respect and honor in their worship, not flippancy, and self-focus.

Philippians 3:3 "3 For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh—"

Psalm 95:6

"Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!"

Isaiah 12:5

“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth."

Hebrews 13:15

"Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name."

The modern gospel is a self-centered entitled gospel that promotes pleasure and self-glory. It is monstrous in the sight of God. And, we think God is going to save a country that mocks Him in their gatherings?

Hebrews 12:28

"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP WITH REVERENCE AND AWE."

Did we see this; "WORSHIP WITH "REVERENCE AND AWE"?

Psalm 96:9

"Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!"

1 Chronicles 16:29

"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;"
