"2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.
3 For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,
4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
Do not be shocked or surprised when people reject you, mock and abuse you, this will happen because the days are growing very dark. Members of your own family will treat you very badly, even covertly to cause frustration. Do not allow them to agitate you, their goal is to cause an angry reaction so they can feel justified in treating you with disrespect. Ignore their foolishness and keep serving Christ as though nothing has happened to you. Glory in your strength in Christ, pray for those who have so little honor for Christ that they would treat one of His children in these ways. Pray for their salvation because no child of God could continue to do this without Holy Spirit conviction.
1 John 3:8-10…8The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil. 9Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10By this the children of God are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.…
