Oneness in Marriage and One in Christ

Just as God makes two people one in marriage He also makes born-again believers one with Christ. No man can undo the bond God made between two married people so too we cannot undo what He did when He changed us into a new creation and came to dwell in us.
Unsaved people do not believe what they cannot see with their eyes, so they act as though it does not exist. This is the reason so many people do not hold marriage in high regard, they do not believe in the "two made into one" principle, they cannot see it therefore they disregard it as though it is not true.
In disregarding the "two into one" existence they negate the importance of the gospel, that is repentance, transformation, and obedience after transformation.
When someone does not believe God they cannot walk with Him because He does not dwell in them. Many churchgoers today say they believe God but do not act as though they do.
God said clearly this: It is not a command that we keep His commandments, it is a statement of fact that we will love His commandments if we are born again. He does this work in us.
John 14:15 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
Isaiah 5:8 "8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 9 for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.…"
When our flesh is weak and we fall we hate it and God will bring us back to obedience through His discipline.
Hebrews 12:7-9 "…7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Should we not much more submit to the Father of our spirits and live?…"
Hebrews 12:6
"For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth."
God does not throw away His children after He has come to live in them.
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
I am blessed in knowing that God will never let me go after I became born again. I know I am saved eternally right now.
John 10:28
"28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."
Ephesians 4:30
"30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
We can grieve the Holy Spirit but we cannot chase Him away. We can silence Him when we are resistant to Him but we cannot chase Him away.
John 3:15–16
"15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Our eternal life begins at the moment of the salvation experience when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us. What a blessing to know that all our trials have a purpose, all our chastisement has a purpose.
Hebrews 12:8 "8 If you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. "
Anyone who declares they are never disciplined by God may not be born again because God said ALL those who are born again will be disciplined for training in holiness.
It is a messy business to judge someone as a great Christian or better than others because they seem to never have trials, you do not know what you are saying. It may be they are illegitimate children, not born again and not changed by Christ into a new creation. It is always a bad idea to elevate anyone to special status because of their easy life.
We need to stop comparing ourselves and others with one another.
2 Corinthians 10:12 "For we do not presume to rank or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they have no understanding."
We need to stop looking all around at what everyone else is doing, stop following men and look up to Christ.
