Whenever someone says "we must be balanced they are really saying we must figure things out on our own and it must match pitch with what the culture is doing or saying.
We need not worry about "balance" when we are led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads us to do what is right the way He wants us to do it, no need to make sure others will receive it or approve of it.
When our focus is whether or not someone will accept what we say or do we are measuring godliness by the culture and not the leading of the Holy Spirit.
God has not called us to results, but to the truth, often the truth will bring negative results because the heart of man is more resistant than ever to God and the Bible.
Noah preached 120 years without one convert or repentant soul. God says we are living in the times now just like the days of Noah. We can expect most people to be resistant to the truth, even coming from the gatherings of Christians.
Christians in our day are more likely to look at the secular articles on the internet than they are to search their Bibles. This is a divided loyalty, or even worse it is evidence that someone might not be born again.
Psalm 34:4 "I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears."
If we are walking around in fear and discouragement about all that is going on in the world you are not seeking Christ.
When we know the end of the story, the promises of God to His children we have no reason to fear anything that happens in these last days.
There are people who walk in frustration about politics because they didn't get what they wanted in elections. Sadly they have placed their trust and focus on this world's system rather than on Christ.
Psalm 146:3-7
"3 Do not trust in noblemen,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
On that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and everything that is in them;
Who keeps faith forever;
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners."
