What Did Christ Command?

There was no command or example in the Bible to begin schools to train men for the ministry. So why are we surprised when they are now going wrong teaching heresies and blasphemies?
There was no command in the Bible to celebrate Christ's birth, so why are we surprised when the pagans love it and run with its revelries?
There was no command in the Bible to set aside a "resurrection day" now referred to as "Easter" loved by the pagans, so why would we be surprised when paganism has infiltrated the church and made a mockery of truth.
There was no command to celebrate the dead in the Bible. So why are we surprised when the holiday become evil?
God commanded only one celebration in the Bible, the one celebration most believers ignore, that is the Lord's Supper, in which we worship Christ. It is not a time of sharing life with each other, it is a time to completely focus on Who Christ is and what He has done. This was commanded and yet most believers ignore it and unbelievers don't even know about it.
Just a thought, if the world loves it, you can believe it has not been commanded by God.
1 Corinthians 15:33
"Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
2 Corinthians 6:14
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
2 John 1:9-11
"Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works."
1 John 2:15-16 " 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.…"
In the beginning of this country, the Pilgrims outlawed Christmas and the other holidays because they were riotous times endorsed by the Catholic church, this ought to give us a clue as to whether or not God is pleased with them. Also, do not think that God is pleased with our use of pagan holidays because we tack on the name of Christ to try to make them any more acceptable to God.
A pig is a pig no matter how much lipstick we put on him. Pretending something is good to be able to enjoy life does not please God. If we question all things as God commanded we begin to see how much the church has violated and even watered down the gospel diminishing its impact.
If we have to do sensational things to draw unbelievers in we have compromised and negated the gospel, the focus becomes the sensational things rather than the gospel itself, the devil knows this and is happy-clappy over all that is going on in the church today. The apostasy is rampant and growing every day.
The devil and his minions attend church every week!!!
