When we have difficulties we have no control over, what emerges from us is the real us, either to respond with grace or react in anger.
God allows the trials to show us the residue of sin that still remains and must be cleansed from us. When we see the lack of faith that remains when trials come we can develop a greater faith as we choose to trust in Christ more deeply.
James 1:2-8 "2 Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters when you encounter various trials,
4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
"5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that person ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."
God always goes through with us, we know it because He said this:
Hebrews 13:5-6
"5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,” 6 so that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?”
