Myths have been Popularized Hindering Truth

Once a myth has been popularized and repeated, it is nearly impossible to change minds about it. So many myths have entered the church teachings that there is more wrong than is right in what most people believe.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 "…3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. / For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness."

Romans 2:8 "But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger."

Proverbs 28:9 "Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable."

Titus 1:10-16 "10 For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party.
11 They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach.
12 One of the Cretans, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
14 not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth.
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work."

We are living in the end times, in which most Christians will claim they are Bible-believing but follow very few of God's principles and commands. They have accepted the ways of the world while claiming it is alright with God.

May each one re-evaluate what they believe and what they practice to make it in line with God's heart.
