A World Full of Anger and Disrespect

Meekness is power under control; it is not timid or mousy. When we love people, we tell the truth calmly, and if the person responds with humility and a desire to reconcile, we can learn to understand one another. However, if someone is hostile and does not want to resolve anything, they will argue not to understand but to win.

We live in a world full of wrong ideas, disrespectful attitudes, and actions that people justify to excuse rudeness without guilt. These very attitudes and actions displease and grieve God.

Ephesians 4:29-31 …29 Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice."

This passage in Ephesians speaks about believers who are not walking in the Spirit but who want to appear special and superior.

Since this is the condition of these last days and there is no way to escape it, we must be vigilant to refrain from taking on the same mindset and outlook of the world around us. This will bring us at odds with most family members around us even when we say nothing.

So many people who love Christ are finding themselves more isolated, perhaps more like the prophets of old who did not blend into the cultures around them.

Do not allow this to unsettle you as you find yourself more rejected and excluded. Christ is in us and with us; He will be our companion when there is rarely one.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 "Now it is God who establishes both you and us in Christ. He anointed us, placed His seal on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a pledge of what is to come."

The more time we have to spend alone because of the exclusion the more we appreciate it. Christ in us is always peaceful, has all the right answers and gives comfort at times when it is needed.
