Why do so many people believe that doctrinal error is alright as long as everyone agrees that each decides for himself what he wants to believe. This reminds me of the scripture that says;
"In the last days everyone did what was right in their own eyes"
When there is doctrinal disagreement, we need to go back to scripture, using the original languages if need be, to come to a CORRECT understanding of what God meant.
The problem is that too many people love their cultural traditions and things taught by men, they just can't let go of them. No matter how clear the message from the word is, they refuse to see the truth.
How can someone fight so bitterly to defend that which God condemns or fight bitterly to avoid obeying what God commands, if they are seeking Him?
The only answer to the previous question is that many even most of those claiming to be believers are not seeking God, they are heaping up for themselves teachers that give them the answers that they like rather than what is truth.
The admonishment here is to actually go to prayer when you are challenged about a matter. Seek truth not personal desire or comfort.

Do Not Grieve The Holy Spirit
Ephesians 4:30
"Do not GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT of God, by whom you were SEALED for the day of redemption."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-21

It is clear from the above passages that believers do sin, they do grieve the Holy Spirit at times but within them is the power of Christ to resist, because when we became born again our desires within our spirit changed, we hate the sin that dwells in our bodies, however our Spirit battles against the flesh that is still fallen.
When we die as believers our spirit goes to be with the Lord, because it is holy through the blood of , but our bodies stay behind because no sin can enter the presence of God. Our body will be changed in a flash, then it will be holy and acceptable to unite again with our Spirit in the presence of God.

God has to continually teach, train and spank us to bring us back into line with His principles. If we are truly born again believers, we do not fight against the chastising of the Lord, but rather lean into it, thankful that He is working in us.
Anyone that claims to be sinless after they are born again, doesn't understand that the flesh has not been made into a new creation and will not until the rapture of the body. The Spirit is made a new creation at the moment of salvation. Those who think we can lose salvation after Christ changes us, has to deny the working of discipline in our lives. They must not recognize the need for chastisement in the life of a believer, if they do not think they sin, or if they think sin can cause the Lord to remove His Holy Spirit from us. They also have to deny the promise of God to never leave us or forsake us.
Hebrews 13:5
"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
If God is the One Who saves us through grace, a free gift, then how could we ever think that we have anything within ourselves that would keep us where we should be? When we know that Christ is the Righteousness in us, then we know that we have no righteousness to offer on our own behalf.
If we think our own attempts at sinlessness have any part of the salvation through grace then it is not grace at all but works. Those who think they can lose their salvation must believe that God never disciplines His children as He said He does, but merely casts them away at the slightest infraction of His Law.
In every encounter I have had where I have asked the questions; 1. How many sins does it take for the Holy Spirit to leave us and 2. How big do the sins have to be? No one has an answer for me. Because Christ never leaves a true believer and we cannot turn ourselves back into the old creation, then we can say that our salvation is based on our trusting Christ, knowing that He paid for our sin with His own blood on the cross.
IT IS PAID IN FULL!!!! Read Hebrews chapter 9 to discover that it had to be the shedding of blood to cover our sin. No number or size of good works or lack of bad works will atone for sin, only the blood of Christ the sinless Lamb of God would do that. Since we cannot shed even our own blood to atone for our own sins, then what would make us think merely doing good works or avoiding bad ones would make any difference at all. When we see it this way, the salvation that would be atoned for by Christ could not be lost, it was paid for in full at the cross. How silly to think anything you do could save you or lose the salvation you didn't earn in the first place but had to be paid for by the shedding of blood of the perfect Lamb. You are not perfect and you have not shed your own blood for your sins, what makes you think you can earn your salvation by mere deeds?

God disciplines us to help us return to obedience, we learn from that and grow in holiness. God never just throws us away because we don't measure up, He knows we could never measure up. Perhaps those who think God throws us away because we don't measure up are interpreting their version of salvation in terms of their understanding of our culture. That's what man does, man throws people away who don't measure up, so some think God does the same thing.
There are those stubborn believers, who are born again by the shed blood of Christ, but do not avail themselves to the discipline of Christ, ignoring His Holy Spirit, grieving Him as Ephesians 4:30 speaks of, these people are born again, but they will have consequences in this life and lost rewards in the next.

For those who think you are working your way to heaven, or have any part in keeping the salvation you didn't earn, must ask the Lord if you are born again. Anyone who understands the sacrifice that was required to pay for their sin, could never think they have any works that would measure up to the shed blood of Christ.

Let Go Of Your Own Control!
God changes us into a new creation when we become born again, it is His work.
To say that we could lose what God did in us, would be like saying you are more powerful than God, He's the one that transforms us into a new creation. But there are those who think we can untransform ourselves by our mere deeds.
To say that we could lose that is saying we can overpower God, that God is supject to us rather than us being subject to Him.
We cannot undo what God does, it is His power not ours that makes us a new creation. It is His power that keeps us, therefore we have no power to obtain our salvation through our own effort, nor do we have power to maintain our salvation through our own effort.
2 Corinthians 5:16-19
"16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation."

What part of "HIS WORKMANSHIP" do we not understand?
All those who think they are working hard to keep what they did not earn, are not resting in the arms of Jesus, but struggling daily to be sure they can do or be enough to please God.
No one can do enough to please God, that's why Christ had to die to cover our sins, it took the shedding of blood of the only Righteous Perfect Lamb of God to do this. And we think our measly little feeble efforts and attempts to be good would be more than what Christ did? How incredibly silly is that!
Let's call it what it is to think we can keep what we did not earn, it is pride, we like to think we did something to help God. Many like to think they have power over their own destiny, they don't want to let go of their own power over this life or over eternity.
True faith is trusting Christ for salvation and for everything after that. We like to make salvation complicated so that we can maintain some of the control. Until we see our helplessness before Him, we cannot fully trust Him.

Beth Moore Another Wolf Among The Sheep
For those of you who are questioning the teachings of Beth Moore, I would encourage you, that the uneasiness you might be feeling is warranted.
From what I have seen she takes passages of scripture out of context to make them say nothing close to their original purpose and equates them to a sort of "me" status. She uses foolish phrases in her booklets, such as, "what does that verse mean to you." Her focus is this life, in her teachings, not the spiritual inner life. And Christ is not her focus, He is secondary to the teaching of law.
We should never read the word of God to decide what we want to make the scriptures say. Our aim in reading the Word is to allow the Holy Spirit to show us what the Lord meant so that we come in line with His will, we should not attempt to making the Bible come in line with our own will.
One of her techniques is to engage the audience by having them repeat after her, this is a very effective cult technique, once the leader can get the audience in a childlike stance, automatically accepting everything she says, she will say almost anything and the infantlike audience will fawn all over her. She is obviously doing everything right in her method of crowd pleasing and marketing, her popularity demonstrates this. Another method for mesmerizing her audience is to tell personal stories and regale the hearers with jokes that loosen up those engaged. Superficial people love lots of humorous personal stories.
Beth Moore is friends with people like Joyce Meyers, Joel Osteen and Rick Warren, this all by itself should be the first red flag. Our companions and those who endorse us are a huge clue as to our bent.
From the little that I have seen, it is clear that she is your typical prosperity, better life, preachers, claiming that if we follow certain principles in our life we will have health, wealth and popularity. And, it has worked for her, she is their example.
She has said silly things like "God took her to the zoo and we had a playdate with God and He talked to me." OH PLEASE!!!!
In conclusion, Beth Moore camps on the superficial of this life, neglecting the Spiritual and twisting Scripture to such a degree that it is no longer truth. She is a very good, well dressed and charismatic motivational speaker, whether or not she is a believer is highly questionable.

I guess regardless of God being real or not, if atheists claim to know morals without God, they should at least applaud us Christians fools want to live a Holy life and encourage others to do so. They should think, well god doesn't exist but at least this bunch of fools is not harming me and if my kids meets one of these fools in a dark alley at night, chances are he will be safe (Gal 19-22 ). But no.
The hypocrites love to come and call us liars (that us being filled with Holy Spirit is not true), call the God they don't believe in a liar, blame our God for evil, yet He's grace and commands only will lead to seek Holiness in a broken world, so the truth is that when convicted of their own sin and wrongdoing (John 16.8 He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment), atheists cry out "hate speech", "extremists", "intolerance" and cry away, ban them buawahah sob sob, ban them, they are hateful, mum ,mum buwahaha oh no, hate speech. If you love the sin you will hate any form of preaching against it. God is intolerant to extremist sinners who hate His Son but wants all to come to Him and obtain grace and mercy (John 3:16/18).
Yet I wonder why atheists on these debate pages, if they are righteous without God, then why is it when others in their camp use foul language, hale abuse, blasphemy and make outrageous accusations for all to see, why then does that very righteousness kick in and why do they not reprove the person, correct them and explain why they should not be abusive to Christians or any other??? Truth is they approve of it (silence is consent) and are just as wicked and prove again Bible to be true as Satan's Kingdom will not attack itself (Mat12, Mark3) and Jesus said, "You are either for me or against me". A Born Again Believer is Secure

One of the most misunderstood passages in all of the Bible (2nd only to "judge not") is Hebrews 10:26. We recently discovered John Hagee's butchering of this verse to try and teach his false view that eternal life can be lost. Here is what the verse says:

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"
Ok, what does this verse mean? First of all, it is absolutely imperative with any verse in the Bible to understand the context in which it was written. We must look at the chapter as a whole, the overall topic of that chapter, who it was written to and for what reason.
So, let's figure out the context for Hebrews 10:26 by looking at a few things. First of all, who was the book of Hebrews written to? Well, it is pretty obvious considering one of the first names Jewish people were called were Hebrews. Hebrews was written to Jewish believers. Secondly, what is, one, the book of Hebrews about, and two, what is chapter 10 talking about specifically.
The book of Hebrews was written to the Jews concerning the ultimate sacrificial Lamb found in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Jews received under Moses at Mt Sinai the Old Covenant where once a year the High Priest would take the blood of an innocent lamb and go into the Holy of holies to atone for the sins of the nation. However, that was just a foreshadowing of what was to come. God would send His own Lamb to be sacrificed for the sins of the whole world, once and for all. So, the main theme of Hebrews is to show the Jews a new and better covenant than what they had under the Mosaic Law. That the Lamb of God was offered as final payment for sin and there is now no more need for animal sacrifices.
So, now we get to chapter 10 specifically. The first verse explains perfectly the context of the chapter:
Hebrews 10:1 KJV
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
In keeping with the overall theme of the book, this verse is saying that the sacrifices under the old covenant were only a foreshadow of good things to come. The following verses go on to explain the finality of the sacrifice that the Lord Jesus Christ made at Calvary.
Now that we have established the context of chapter 10, there are some key verses that actually help to explain verse 26. First of all, verse 14 rules out the idea that it teaches one can lose their salvation.

Notice, them that are sanctified are perfected forever. They ARE sanctified and they already have been perfected. A person is sanctified the moment he places faith in Christ. If salvation could be lost then not everyone who is sanctified will be perfected forever, as this verse positively states.
We will look at other verses in this chapter to help explain verse 26, but let's breakdown this verse.
"If we sin wilfully..."- Keep in mind, the context of chapter 10 is sacrifice for sin, comparing the old with the new. The understanding here is if we continue on IN sin. If we wilfully remain in an unregenerate state having never received forgiveness from God. This is talking about the unredeemed, the unsaved individual who is still lost in his sins.
"After that we have received the knowledge of the truth..."-
This particular phrase is often badly butchered! Many interpret this to mean that since they have received the knowledge of the truth, they must be saved . This is NOT what this means. Notice, it says that "we have RECEIVED THE KNOWLEDGE of the truth", not BELIEVED the truth. This is referring to, the Jews particularly, who are introduced to the truth of Jesus Christ, they have knowledge of that truth, concerning His death, burial, and resurrection, but that is all it is, knowledge. Knowledge of truth does not save anyone; we must BELIEVE the truth from the heart. We see this very principle in Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8. He had knowledge of the gospel, he saw the working of the Holy Spirit, but he was lost. So, we understand that the individuals here are not saved at all.
"there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins"- This phrase is very important in understanding this verse. Since we know that the context of chapter 10 is sacrifice for sin and the difference between the old and the new, we can see the connection and how there is now only one viable sacrifice and that is through Christ. Verse 18 has virtually the same phrase:

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
In a nutshell, this phrase simply means that since Jesus Christ is the final sacrifice for sin, there is no other.

Chapter 10 of Hebrews is a message to the Jews, explaining how the old covenant was replaced by the new and better covenant found in the Lord Jesus Christ. The old covenant sacrifices only covered sin for one year and had to be repeated over and over again. When Christ came, He was sacrificed once and for all, never to be sacrificed again. The cross is God's final and only sacrifice for sins and there is none else. Verse 26 tells unbelievers if they wilfully remain in sin, unforgiven, having not been cleansed by the blood of God's only sacrifice, and having received the knowledge (not believed) of the truth of the gospel, there remains no more sacrifice for sins. In other words, there is nothing else they can do to be forgiven and be saved. They have knowledge of the truth, yet they continue on as unforgiven sinners. They shun God's ultimate provision for sin. Verse 29 tells of the harsh penalty for dismissing the work of the Son of God for sinners.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
The bottom line here is Hebrews 10:26 does not teach that a saved person can lose their salvation, as the individuals being referred to are lost, still holding onto the old covenant which does not save. Once saved always saved is Biblical truth...hold fast to it!

One of the most misunderstood passages in all of the Bible (2nd only to "judge not") is Hebrews 10:26. We recently discovered John Hagee's butchering of this verse to try and teach his false view that eternal life can be lost. Here is what the verse says:

Ok, what does this verse mean? First of all, it is absolutely imperative with any verse in the Bible to understand the context in which it was written. We must look at the chapter as a whole, the overall topic of that chapter, who it was written to and for what reason.
So, let's figure out the context for Hebrews 10:26 by looking at a few things. First of all, who was the book of Hebrews written to? Well, it is pretty obvious considering one of the first names Jewish people were called were Hebrews. Hebrews was written to Jewish believers. Secondly, what is, one, the book of Hebrews about, and two, what is chapter 10 talking about specifically.
The book of Hebrews was written to the Jews concerning the ultimate sacrificial Lamb found in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Jews received under Moses at Mt Sinai the Old Covenant where once a year the High Priest would take the blood of an innocent lamb and go into the Holy of holies to atone for the sins of the nation. However, that was just a foreshadowing of what was to come. God would send His own Lamb to be sacrificed for the sins of the whole world, once and for all. So, the main theme of Hebrews is to show the Jews a new and better covenant than what they had under the Mosaic Law. That the Lamb of God was offered as final payment for sin and there is now no more need for animal sacrifices.
So, now we get to chapter 10 specifically. The first verse explains perfectly the context of the chapter:

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
