The Way Liberals Think

The thinking of the "liberals."

"I can't love or respect you if you don't think like I do."

"I can't love or respect you unless you validate everything I do and everything I am."

"I can't love or respect you if you do not act like I do or dress like I do."

"You are worthy of demeaning and mocking if you say anything different from what I say."

"If you dare to demonstrate a life of following your principles that are not what I like, you will be maligned, mocked and gossiped about."

The love of the liberal narcissist is entirely based on how much we elevate and praise them personally. Their love is not love at all but conditional to our being just like them.

In order to be loved by the liberal, we must do what they do, like what they like, think as they do and above all praise them at all times no matter what.

2 Timothy 3:2 "1 But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,…"

Jude 1:16 "16 These men are discontented grumblers, following after their own lusts; their mouths spew arrogance; they flatter others for their own advantage."

Do not take the "liberal" seriously, they are undiscerning, lacking in empathy while using manipulation and intimidation on a regular basis to control others. They are tortured souls who are not satisfied with their own accomplishments, but must force others to engage in their elevated view of their own importance.

We see this in politics and in families. The powers that be, are working to frighten dissenters into compliance, through pressure from the courts to give in to their demands or loose everything.
Families do this as well as political entities.

We have recourse in all this, we can obey God no matter what and leave the consequences to God. God has the answers for everything. It is good to remember that everything we go through makes us stronger, it is a spiritual exercise that shows us our vulnerabilities, which areas need more work.

Romans 5:3-4 "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,"

James 1:12-18
"12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."

The Devil Controls the Drama

If you have been perplexed by all the nonsensical drama that seems to envelope you in this life, this may shed some light on it. We are living in a fallen world, that is getting worse all the time.

As reasonable godly thinking people, we are astonished at the silliness we encounter. Irrational reactions to normal, benign actions and conversations seem to be increasing.

The church gatherings are full of pretenders, not merely false teachers but also those who are divisive through their disobedience and haughty arrogant attitudes, defending that which God has condemned, they cause trouble, polarizing people against one another.

These same divisive individuals will attempt to bring others into their fold thought lies and half truths. They think they are being cleaver, while in fact they are being manipulated by demons.

Sadly there are those who remain silent within the gatherings merely to be accepted but would not normally surrender their own lives to the same sins, they manage to endorse the sin in the lives of others by their silence.

These people of the devil, are unaware that they are being used to do the bidding of the evil one. When they do evil and are confronted about their evil, they play the victim to garner sympathy from others, thereby managing to turn others against those who will not accept their sin. Even though the real evidence shows that a liar has manipulated the perceptions of others, undiscerning people who are worried about the praise of men, will hold their tongues when they should speak. The devil is diabolical in his dealings, intimidation and manipulation are his favorite tools.

He can get people to think their wicked plans are their own idea, even being proud of themselves for how shrewd they were, all the while the devil and his minions are enjoying the mess they create.

God has a lot to say about all this:

John 8:43-45 "…43 Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!…"

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
"3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 "…13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.…"

1 Peter 5:8
"8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Those who choose to obey God and ask for His Wisdom will be able to see these attitudes for what they are, that is devilish.

Ephesians 4:14 "14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;"

2 Peter 1:4 "4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust."

Philippians 1:9-10 "And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,"

We don't have to be undiscerning or lacking in wisdom, it is a choice to either have discernment and wisdom or not.

James 1:4-6 "…4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…"

A Talent Not Their Own

I know that I will probably be chastised by some for saying this, but I feel led to do it.

I am highly suspect of all these little girls on talent shows who have the voices of fully mature women. Something is very unnatural about it, as though their talent is not of their own flesh.

It hasn't been until recent years that I have ever heard of a little girl who had unnaturally mature voices.

While surfing the internet my husband came across a little girl who was screaming out a song as though she was possessed. One of the judges, a rock star known for his use of obscenities while performing, stood up and gave devil hand signals in praise of the little girl.

I am convinced that most if not all people going into show business today obtain their talent and fame with the help of demonic forces.

Performances are becoming more outrageous and raunchy than ever before, celebrating evil. Not even bothering to cloak it in covert language anymore, it is blatantly insolent and scornful.

Matthew 24:12-14
"And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Holy Spirit Helper

Yes and Christ prays on our behalf.

Romans 8:26 "…25 But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently. 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. 27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.…"

Covert Narcissists are Controlled by Satan

Matthew 10:16-23
"16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.
17 But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues;
18 and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19 But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say.
20 For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and [b]cause them to be put to death.
22 You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
23 “But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes."

Be aware that the more you obey Christ, the more you wish to walk with Him, the more people will despise you. In our country the contempt comes in many forms, lying against you, refusing to work out problems, interpreting things in a way that skews reality, raging when there is no reason to rage and most of all accusing us of the very things they are doing but we are not. We can see that these are the devil working in unsaved hearts.

Ephesians 6:10-12 "10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.…"

When we realize that everything we encounter with evil people is really a spiritual problem and the devil and his minions are behind it, we are better equipped to not allow it to emotionally ruin us.

Often, those who are in rebellion will interpret events in terms of their level of contempt for us. If we decline to attend an event without sharing an explanation, they will assume that we were angry, evil or demeaning, while passing that interpretation on to others as though it is fact. If we do not do the things they do or think the way they do, they will feel a sense of anger that we are not like them.

One of the most diabolical tactics of the narcissist is to choose to assume something without clear evidence to support their assertion.

Those who are in rebellion against God will make a conscious choice to see "mean" or "evil" where there is none, in order to frustrate their victim and turn others against us.

I would be surprised if any strong believer reading this has not encountered it in one way or another, if not frequently.

Another tactic is for the narcissist to rage in front of others leaving the impression that we did something wrong when there was no wrong. Sadly, this causes non-thinking people watching, to believe that we must have done something wrong to make someone that angry.

Psychology teaches the concept that people are like dogs in the Pavlov dog experiment, that they are merely reacting to stimuli. This is based on evolution and negates the diabolical nature of wicked human beings, who have the ability to deliberately and covertly act in a way that causes others to hate their victim.

The goal of the narcissist is to goad you into doing something out of control in your anger. Do not let the narc have control through their tactics. If we know how they operate we can remain calm knowing it isn't about us, but the rebellion that dwells in their heart. We always have the option of removing ourselves from them when they will not behave themselves.

God says not to worry about the response of others, evaluate only the message, to be sure you were not at fault, remain calm and unaffected by the tricky and covert narcissist and continue to speak as you are led by the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 3:15-17 "…15 But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to articulate a defense to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But respond with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who slander you will be put to shame by your good behavior in Christ. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.…"

1 Peter 4:13-14 "…15 But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord.

Self Esteem is at it Again

Many families are experiencing estrangement from adult children because the children are narcissistically hyper sensitive to any kind of advice, instruction or correction after they become adults.
It was normal and natural when we were first married for parents or in law parents to correct or instruct. Because of the self esteem teaching, adult children are of the mind that no one should ever counter anything they do, they should just always agree with them or validate them.
It is sad to watch because without elder input into our lives we can't grow. When we got married we felt it was better to learn from the advice and stories of our elders than to have to go through the same problems they did.
I remember taking my father to a house we were thinking of buying to get his opinion about the soundness of the structure. He had build his own house and was wise in many things pertaining to buildings. I really liked the house we were considering a lot, but when he saw it he warned us about dry rot, a bad foundation in one place we would not have noticed. He told us that it would be a bad investment. We didn't buy the house because of his advice.
Both sets of parents on both sides spoke their mind about things, we never got angry, stomped off or cut them out of our lives. But this is what is happening now to many aging parents. The grandchildren are being deliberately withheld from many parents because of the narcissistic need to punish aging parents who do not elevate their children. Adult children now expect to be treated special all the time. They loathe being just plain people like everyone else.
We appreciated the input of our parents and took it as advice we could evaluate and make our own decision. Not so today, any advice is seen as an attack, all sense of reasonable discussion is forbidden without dire consequences.
The hyper sensitivity of the 40 somethings generation is irrational and volatile. The slightest disagreement is enough to cause a war and estrangement.
I have read many articles of broken-hearted aging parents who could not figure out why they were being banished from their children and the lives of their grandchildren. All they could figure out was that the adult children were angry at a comment they made or something they wouldn't give to the adult child.
We can guess that the problem was pride and anger in the child that was irrational because when the adult child was asked to explain why they were so angry they would refuse to tell the parents.
There is only one solution to this problem as I see it, that is to allow the angry adult child to walk away, get on with our own lives and pray that some day they will deal with their anger and realize that it was over blown. Even if there was an offense, usually it is a minor thing that most rational people would shrug off or see as a personality quirk.
So how is all that self esteem teaching working out for us? I don't remember this much estrangement from adult children when we were young, it truly is a new phenomena and in my opinion directly related to the continual indoctrination that made children feel entitled to special treatment.
We should resolved to enjoy the life we have with our spouse while praying for the children. We should never allow angry adult children to overshadow our relationship with our spouse. Why ruin a good thing because of a person who is not present in our lives and will not care about resolving a matter.

Harsh Rebukes Are Necessary

Christ was not always soft spoken, we can't hear His tone when He was driving out the money changers in the temple, but I am quite sure He was not speaking softly.

Christ also called people vipers and white washed tombs. We have to allow people to be led by the Holy Spirit in their tone.

Also, most of the time we don't need to be "snarky", but there are those times when God tells us to give a harsh rebuke. The problem is that our culture has eliminated the harsh rebuke altogether when at times it may have been needed.

Titus 1:13 "13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith, "

Remember too that we will be accused of a harsh tone when there was none, because rebellious people don't want to hear truth.

Proverbs 27:6 "…5 Better is open rebuke Than love that is concealed. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy. "

Proverbs 27:5 "Better is open rebuke than hidden love."

Titus 2:15 "Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you."
