Gospel in the Garden

Hardened Hearts

Remember when God sent the plagues to Pharoah? The passage says; "God hardened Pharoah's heart" and in the same passage it says that "Pharoah hardened his own heart." Which is true?

The truth is that God did what He knew would cause Pharaoh to harden his own heart. He sent plagues, with each plague the Pharaoh became more hardened than the last one.

This is our country, God is sending plagues and people to disrupt the wicked lifestyle of a nation that has turned its back on God.

With each new thing, there is a temporary revival, for a few minutes, then shortly after the calamity passes everyone returns to their old selves. Nothing has changed in the hearts of people, they have only modified behavior for a time to feel better about their safety.

God brings the leaders that will accomplish His will, not necessarily what the people will want. Freedom is not the objective of any believer's life. It is glorifying God and seeing many people repenting and becoming born again, that is the objective of the Spiritual Christian.

God is sending things to us right now to warn us of the calamity that will come if the country and the world will not repent. And, in these last days, we know that neither will repent. We know that we are living in the last days when people are stubborn, self-willed, and resistant to God's will. Even the "Christians" will not listen to truth. They love their traditions, willing to hang onto them harder than ever before.

Deuteronomy 1:43
"So I spoke to you, but you would not listen. Instead, you rebelled against the command of the Lord, and acted presumptuously and went up into the hill country."

Psalm 75:5
"Do not lift up your horn on high,
Do not speak with insolent pride.’”

Proverbs 1:24
“Because I called and you refused,
I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;"

Proverbs 1:26, NASB: "I will also laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes,"

Proverbs 1:25-27 "…25 because you neglected all my counsel, and wanted none of my correction, 26, in turn, I will mock your calamity; I will sneer when terror strikes you, 27 when your dread comes like a storm, and your destruction like a whirlwind when distress and anguish overwhelm you.…"

Psalm 59:8
"But You, O LORD, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations."

Proverbs 6:15
"Therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in an instant, he will be shattered beyond recovery."

Isaiah 57:7
"I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things."

Isaiah 45:7
"The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the Lord who does all these."

Proverbs 6:15
"Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;
Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing."

The Pentecostals and the Evangelicals who are feverishly working to save our country and even the world will learn that they are not in control and that God does not wink at the sin in this nation or the world. So many of these people who say they are Christian are negating more of the Bible than they obey and don't think they are doing it. Sin has become such a way of life with so many that few notice it.

The time is coming soon when God's people, those who follow Christ, will be taken away to be with Him and the world will fly into a tailspin of evil and tragedy nothing like the world has ever seen. This is the time of wrath, there is no turning back, there is no saving a nation.

The only nation that GOD will save is Israel and HE will be the One to do it. Two-thirds of her people will be killed and the one-third left will worship the One true God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Perhaps its time to make every effort to speak of Christ as much as possible before the believers are taken home to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. There will not be many who will listen, because we are living in the days as Noah when no one wants to hear, that does not mean the mandate to speak of Christ has been rescinded. The mandate remains and obedience to it is expected by God.

Mark 16:14-16 "14 Later as they were eating, Jesus appeared to the Eleven and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.…"

Discipline of a Virus by God

God allowed this virus as discipline for our country and the world. We deserve worse and if there is no repentance that worse may come quickly.

Psalm 9:16-18 "…16 The LORD is known by the justice He brings; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. Higgaion Selah 17 The wicked will return to Sheol— all the nations who forget God. 18 For the needy will not always be forgotten; nor the hope of the oppressed forever dashed.…"

The oppressed of this country are those who speak boldly the truth of the Bible, even in the gatherings that claim to be of God.

The oppressed are the millions of babies that are murdered every year by their own mothers.

The oppressed are those who are victims of emotional, physical and sexual abuse every year in our nation.

The oppressed are those who love Christ who are mocked and demeaned by the members of their own families.

Job 8:13
"Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so the hope of the godless will perish."

Psalm 49:14
"Like sheep they are destined for Sheol. Death will be their shepherd. The upright will rule them in the morning, and their form will decay in Sheol, far from their lofty abode."

Psalm 50:22
"Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:"

Jeremiah 13:25
"This is your lot, the portion I have measured to you," declares the LORD, "because you have forgotten Me and trusted in falsehood."

God requires repentance to be forgiven but our nation and the world will not do it. These are the end times, things are becoming worse, hearts are becoming hardened.

Only those who confess their sinfulness and ask Christ to be changed by Him will escape the wrath of God. The wrath of God is His righteous anger, it always leads to judgment.

Exodus 32:9,10
"I have seen these people," the LORD said to Moses, "and they are a stiff-necked people. Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation

Using God's Name in Vain

Using God's name in vain is more than just speaking His name as a swear word. Many use His name in vain when they claim to be a Christian but live in rebellion against HIs principles.

John 14:15 "15If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."

3 Signs God Is Saying, “Let Them Go”

Nullifying God by Man Made Traditions

What is "normal" for most people may not be normal for you.

"Normal" is usually measured in whatever everyone else is doing in the culture.

It is normal for people to celebrate all the man-made holidays, but for me it is not normal, I choose to ignore them because I do not see that they have been given by God.

Normal for me is not normal for most people. I guess the key is that we decide what will be our own normal and not worry about what everyone else is doing.

If someone does not appreciate your normal, that you have made for yourself because of a commitment to God, then it would be impossible to have a relationship with those who do not appreciate you and your choices.

There are so many things in our culture today that have distracted us from God. For years I thought I should do what other people expected of me. After I became born again the Lord showed me that I could do what I believed in without reproach.

Many people in the church today have human expectations of us, they don't like that we walk a different path based on the scriptures. These people will distance themselves, punishing us with silence while ignoring us completely. That's alright, that's the path they have chosen for themselves.

We must remain on the path God has given us even if no one else comes with us. I have no desire to do things simply because of human traditions or the expectations of others.

Mark 7:13 "13Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.” "
