Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Leave the Revivals alone!
Please do not get on any bandwagons claiming huge revivals. If it is true then great, if it is not and you endorsed it then you were fooled.
Just keep looking up doing what God told you to do and leave all the hype and news alone.
There will be many false signs and emotional hype about revivals in the last days, we cannot know which ones are true and which are false so just keep obeying the Word of God, and live as you should looking toward the narrow road.
Living in a Wicked world while Our Heart is Desiring Home
When someone places their children above their spouse they are teaching the children to disrespect their other parent. It is a tactic of those who want to be loved by their children more than they love their spouse.
We live in a culture now that values personal aggrandizement above quality relationships. Divorces are rampant, and children are angry and disrespectful because of this selfishness.
2 Timothy 3 told us the intensity of the wicked attitudes that will prevail in the end times. We are living in those times right now. As long as we know it we can take less personally the attacks and angst that is all around us and focus on Christ Who lives in us.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Difficult (ragingly insane) Times Will Come
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
If we were placed in a foreign country and discovered these attitudes and resentment toward us we would be observing without hurt feelings. We would not be devastated or emotional over it, we would simply document what we see knowing this was not our home.
This is the way we must live our lives now, we are in a foreign land, this world is not our home and nothing that happens here needs to destroy our faith or ruin our emotional stability.
Hebrews 13:14-16
"14 For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.
God-pleasing Sacrifices
15 Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name. 16 And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
Our job here on earth is not to have friends, not to play, and not to build a fortune for ourselves. Our job here is to share the gospel, live as examples of Christlikeness to the world, and then when we go home we will go with the knowledge that we pleased God.
We are living in times when our closest godly friends are long distances away. God has provided Facebook to connect with those who love Him more than their own life. We share His Spirit and his goals as servants of Him. We can praise Him for these connections when we have no one in our own communities.
2 Timothy 2:24
"The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,"
2 Corinthians 6:4
"but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,"
Psalm 113:1
"Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord."
Our reward is coming, let's focus on that. Let's not lament day after day, day in and day out, on the wickedness of this world, it is a distraction from Christ and our mission, which is to bring Christ to the lost.

Satan is a Liar Don't Believe Him
There are those who wish to believe things about you that are not true and are dedicated to their belief to the point of refusing to discuss their thoughts to find the truth.
Do not be intimidated by these people who love their ideas of you rather than the truth. They did it to Christ and all the apostles. and they will do it to us too.
We have no reason to take seriously what others say and do if we are secure in Christ. We only worry about what someone thinks because we elevate them to the level of Christ. He is the only One Who should matter, He is the only One Who loves us and Whom we follow. He was the One Who died for us!!!
We do not follow people or assign value to their opinions of us. We value above anyone else what God thinks of us.
Galatians 1:10
"For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ."
Ephesians 6:6
"not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart."
Psalm 16:3
"As for the saints who are in the earth,
They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight."
Not Revival but Transformation
God did not call for revival, He called for transformation. Only He can transform the vilest sinner, man can only pretend to change himself.
2 Corinthians 5:16-18 "…16 So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! 1 8All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:…"
Respect for God's Word
Think about it, if people would realize the terrible sacrifice, the bloody death, and the mocking our Savior went through how could they ever dismiss His Word, the Bible, as a book of suggestions? Or, lie against is as they twist His words to reject His meaning.
A true born-again believer could never treat His word that disrespectfully because they knew what He lost for our gain.
John 14:15 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
Notice that God said the Holy Spirit, the Advocate would be with us "FOREVER", He never hops in and out of people, He remains, teaching, directing, redirecting, disciplining, and everything a good parent does to guide their children toward obedience.
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
Since we are sinful creatures in our bodies we must have an Advocate Who goes before the Father on our behalf. That Advocate is Jesus Christ Whose Holy Spirit lives in us when we have believed.
Those who live in constant sin without remorse or conscience about it have never been born again. No child of God could continue in sin without guilt. No child of God is defensive of sin, rather they are ashamed and remain that way until they confess it to be cleansed .
1 John 3:8-10 "…8 The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this the children of God are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.…"
1 John 1:8-10 "…8If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.…"
