Why does the "Mennonite" church name themselves after a man, it is unbiblical to follow a man. As believers in Christ we follow Him, therefore our name should reflect Him not a man. It is better to say, "we are the church at, (whatever area we live in)," than to take on the name of a favorite man.
"Menno Simons was a former Catholic priest from the Friesland region of the Low Countries who became an influential Anabaptist religious leader."
1 Corinthians 1:11-13 "…11 My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul?…"
To call oneself a "Mennonite" is to say you are of Paul or Apollos, it is disobedience against the Word.
