The Answer to all of the Problems of Life are in the Bible
The Lord's Word, the Bible, should always be our guide, not
feelings, psychological humanistic tradition and not opinions. We must let the
Word of God and the Holy Spirit be our guide. We ought to be asking all the
time for everything, "What does God say about this."
The only way to know what God thinks is to read the Love
Letter He sent from Himself to those who wrote it down for Him, the Bible!
When we assert a concept we must always be ready to prove
that concept by Scripture.
Many times I have had to let go of things I was taught in
church, in favor of the truth of the Bible. Far too many things in church today
and even back in my early days, were based on psychology or other human
traditions.
If we are not willing to say to the Lord, "I want to
know only truth from you", then you are not seeking the Lord. Those who
will not seek the Lord for cleansing of wrong teachings, are cherry picking to
be able to justify much of what they do or want to believe.
When we have a dilemma, our first response is to go to God
in prayer, not another person for the answer. Then we should search the
Scriptures to find the answer. The answer to every situation is in that mighty
Word. The exact situation may not be there, but the principles are.
No one could give us a situation that does not have
principles in the Word that deal with that specific situation. We look for the
principles of living to discern the needed action or attitude.
All of the answers to life are in the Scriptures and all of
the answers to life are Christ because He is the Word.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God."
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active
and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of
soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and
intentions of the heart."
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "
16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is]
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished
unto all good works."
Psalms 119:105 - "Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path."
1 John 1:1 - "That which was from the beginning, which
we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and
our hands have handled, of the Word of life;"
Matthew 4:4 - "But he answered and said, It is written,
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the
mouth of God."
Proverbs 30:5 - "Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a
shield unto them that put their trust in him."
