The account of the huntched over person in the Bible, who was straightened up after the demons were cast out, should tell us that demons can cause physical ailments, whether real or perceived doesn't really matter.
I also believe they are getting into the minds of people making them think they have been abducted by aliens, when they never left their rooms. This also accounts for the visions of alien space craft that people are witnessing but can never get enough evidence to be conclusive.
Visions and dreams can seem so real that one would think something actually happened to them, when it did not. In the case of drug withdrawal, the patients actually see spiders crawling all over them or monsters in the room after them, but these things are not there, they are only in the addicts mind.
This is why I believe so many family relationships are being destroyed, the devils are messing with the minds of people making them believe evil about others, evil that never happened, but the victims of demonic activity really believe these lies.
I call them victims because the devils can destroy lives, work and family relationships based on nothing but perceptions. This phenomena is growing as we approach the end of the age.
Hang on brothers and sisters, we are in for a bumpy ride, but never fear the Lord is our Pilot and He knows where He is going.
