The younger ones think they must teach the older ones. Such arrogance is evident in nearly every interaction.
The younger ones "feel" a sense of having a right to praise!
Is anyone else as tired of this disrespect as I am?
I am weary of being spoken down to by those who have lived half as long as I have.
In one interaction in recent years I was adding sugar to some coffee, I guess I was taking too long to do it. The young person who was with me grabbed the spoon from my hand in irritation to finish doing it for me. If this had been done in kindness there would have not been any irritation and no grabbing.
Because the younger generation think they are right they justify rudeness.
Why do young people think older people should be treated like helpless foolish children?
I never did this to my mother, nor any other elderly person. In fact I didn't know anyone in my generation who did things like that and yet we see it now all the time. The youth of our country are becoming more foolish than the previous generation.
1 Corinthians 2:14
"The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned."
Proverbs 1:7
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."
Galatians 6:7-8
"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."
