1 Peter 3:7 "7 Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as a delicate vessel, and with honor as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered."
Women and men are equal but their roles are different. The man has one role to lead by serving and to honor the woman. The woman's domain is her household. The husband is not to usurp the role that God gave her and she is not to usurp the role God gave her husband, that is one of main wage earner and protector.
Proverbs 31 is a clear description of the woman's role given by God not by her husband.
A wife who dictates to her husband what job he should have or where they should live is usurping.
A husband who orders a woman how she should manage the home is a usurper.
Heres the thing; God gave the man his role and God gave the woman her role. Neither should usurp these respective roles they were given by God not by man.
Each spouse should diligently choose to carry out the role that God has given to them.
No one should usurp God's mandates!
