The Arrogance of Twisting God's Words

It is so interesting that people devise in their minds what they choose to believe and speak it as though it is fact.

Many in the Christian church have decided what they want to believe. They proceed to snatch scripture from its context to cut and paste the words where they want them to make it say what they wish to believe.

Revelation 22:18-19
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

Proverbs 30:5-6
"Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."

Deuteronomy 12:32
"“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it."

2 Peter 1:20-21
"Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

To negate any part of God's word, or ignore it is to say you do not believe God. God didn't know any better and your way is better than His in your own mind. What incredible arrogance!!!!
