Bondage to Arrogance and Superiority

If the only thing we are guilty of is arrogance or self-will that is enough to cause insecurity in us. Arrogance drives an addiction to be superior. It does not satisfy it dominates making crazy those who are addicted to it.
Keep in mind an arrogant person is deeply insecure, they have a driven desire to be more than they believe they are in the eyes of others.
Rather than being angry at an arrogant person, it is best to feel sorry for them leading us to pray that God releases them from their bondage and inclination to be superior to others.
It is one thing to be confident about our abilities in something it is quite another to be driven to diminish others to achieve superiority over them.
1 Peter 5:6 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,"
Philippians 2:3-11
"Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men."
