"The best revenge is to be unlike the one who performed the injustice." Seneca
Romans 12:19-21 "Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. “BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Matthew 5:44 "American Standard Version
but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;"
Luke 6:28 "Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."
The devil wants to influence to be just like him ruining God's reputation. This is why he sends people into our lives to poke and prod at us from time to time.
We can use these encounters with the devil's advesaries to build our Spiritual muscles becoming impervious to the attacks. The more we learn to ignore them, speak boldly but kindly and even remove ourselves as led by the Holy Spirit.
The stronger we will become. There is great growth in coming through the encounters having obeyed God leaving the offender no legitimate reason to blame us.
Remember Christ goes with us everywhere we go and He sees all that is happening to us and what we do about it.
