Be Careful not to Believe Everything you Hear

After listening to the inaugural address today installing our new president, I would agree with everything he wants to do for this country, however, did anyone else notice that three different faiths were represented in the prayer for America?
They can't all be true, only one faith is true. And the Father only hears the prayers of those who are born again.
Also, did I miss it or did anyone hear anything about closing down the dens of iniquity in this country? Was there a condemnation of all the pornography that is produced in this country? How about the prostitution that is rampant, or the bars that are dens of iniquity?
There was no mention that Christ is the only way and that everyone should repent and trust in Him.
As usual, the pomp and ceremony brought glee and hope to those who are looking to feel safe and prosperous, or as the Bible puts it:
1 Thessalonians 5:3
"3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction will come upon them like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."
It is possible that the whole world will feel a little safer because of America. Now the American people will sense safety, prosperity and personal freedom but the big question is whether or not this will lull them into a smugness that they will be able to exercise their freedom so fully that they once again will forget God. They use His name to have a "feeling" of safety but they do not know Him.
Matthew 7:21-23 I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
Matthew 15:7-9
"7 You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you: 8 These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ ””
What an ungodly government that professes belief in god but is satisfied with any god someone chooses to honor, will produce is ecumenism, not Christianity. It produces what it always has and that is a watered-down cultural Christianity that claims to honor God but in reality, it does not.
Christianity is unique in that it professes One God of the Bible without compromise. The Christianity of the Bible declares all sin unacceptable and to have fellowship with Him one must confess their sin and desire to be changed by Christ.
Using the word "god" does not equate to trusting in Christ nor does it demand repentance for sin. Having some moral stances while courting other immoral freedoms is not Christianity.
We may enjoy some relief from certain things but unless the people as a whole repent from their sins and turn to Christ we are in the same condition we were in before the new president, lost and without salvation.
May believers stop allowing themselves to be lulled to sleep by good-sounding promises and realize their need to seek Christ and Him alone.
We can thank God when He protects us but let's not forget about all those who are going to hell believing they are going to heaven because they said the word; "god."
Mark 7:6
"Jesus answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me."
