Love God's Way

Those who are secure in Christ and can discern truth from error are not easily offended. It is a self-focus and worry about what others think of us that makes us offended. If we get rid of the people pleasing and learn to see things correctly we will not be offended.

I am not personally offended when people are regularly rude to me, I know it comes from their own insecurity. However, I do not choose to be around people who are easily provoked by simple things, they bring drama, chaos and broken relationships everywhere they go.

The only reason someone is easily provoked is if their entire existence is focused on themselves.

James 1:19:
"Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger".

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
"9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor; 10 for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up! 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart."

Christ is that third cord in a relationship.

Friends are people we love and edifiy one another with the word of God in all matters, they always have our backs and we have theirs. This is Christian love!

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 " Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
8 Love never fails; "
