In the beginning, I deleted my Facebook four times.
Then one day, I asked the Lord why I continued to be drawn back to it. The answer from the Lord came back clearly, "use it for Me."
I have been on it now for many years because I have felt led to speak about Christ to the unsaved and to encourage believers to edify anyone who needs it.
If the only thing we do is speak of Christ, His principles and His heart, we have done what He wanted; the results are not our business. However, there are results, even if only to encourage other believers to keep going.
Each of us has something to offer because we have the Holy Spirit in us, and He drives us to be deeply connected to one another, we are family, the family of Christ, siblings in the Lord.
Ephesians 2:20-22
"20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."
Hallelujah
Yes, Granny Gwen, and while many think the "go to church to worship God," not a single example in the New Covenant writings use the word "worship" or any worship phrases, one thing is for sure. Paul stated, "Let all things be done for edification." That's vertical. Worship (praise, prayer, etc.) is vertical. Therefore we don't have to "go to church" to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. God doesn't live in temples made with hands. His dwelling place is the consecrated human heart. Hallelujah
ReplyDeleteI agree, worship toward God is in Spirit and in truth, no rituals necessary. Edification is to help one another grow in holiness to be able to obey God in our individual callings.
DeleteHi Ron, thank you for your comment. Worship is verticle, but edification is horizontal, the means by which we encourage one another in the Word so that we can all grow and carry out our callings in this world in obedience to Christ.
ReplyDeleteHi Ron, yes, worship is verticle and edification toward one another is horizontal for the purpose of building one another in the Word to be able to continue with our individual callings.
