I keep warning people that what you see is NOT always what you get. I have known far too many narcissists who can be very charming while hoodwinking everyone in their path except the one who knows them, that no one else will believe.
Many people place others on a pedestal simply because of how they display themselves in public. Most people are not at all in public what they are in private.
I am speaking here of the candidates for the presidency, of course they will put on their best face to convince the people they are the "good guy."
Just because they dress up in fancy cloths and say all the things we like to hear, plastered in their plastic and deliberate smiles, does not mean they are going to do what is right when given a chance to control the country.
Hitler was very popular at first, he said all the things about bringing the nation of Germany back to prosperity, never did he display at first his diabolical plan to murder millions of people. He did not start out as a dictator, he was voted into power by the people.
There have been many successful people down through the ages that appeared to be wonderful, people that many people elevated to godlike status, only to find out their dirty little secrets later.
I cannot get on these "idolatrous" bandwagons. I know too much about how good someone can look while being evil and full of darkness on the inside.
Please don't come to me to defend a particular candidate unless you have lived with them in their house for the past 10 years, have walked with them through their business day, encountering every person who did business with them and even had many conversations with them yourself.
You see......most of us have not done this, in fact very few have done this. All we have to evaluate the candidates is what they say, how they dress and what pretty smiles they have. Sorry friends, it is just not enough for me.
Psalm 55:21 "His words are as smooth as butter, but in his heart is war. His words are as soothing as lotion, but underneath are daggers!"
Proverbs 26:23-25 "Smooth words may hide a wicked heart, just as a pretty glaze covers a clay pot. People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they’re deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils."
Psalm 28:3 "Do not drag me away with the wicked–with those who do evil–those who speak friendly words to their neighbors while planning evil in their hearts."
I am equally weary of hearing believers praise rock stars, secular talk show hosts and others who have never indicated they had any righteousness at all.
Just because someone has a talent, does not make them special. It's one thing to listen to their music or movies yourself, it's quite another to promote them to other believers.
Proverbs 28:4-5 "4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, But those who keep the law strive with them. 5 Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD understand all things.…"
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Christians are in a Battle
There are those who are teaching that mankind is not sinful by nature, that we can become sinless by not sinning anymore.
Mark Slappey said this: "Psalm 51-5 -Genesis 2-16,17 --Romans 5-12 -Acts 17-26 -Romans 5-18 and 19--one John 1-8 ---Eccl-7-20 -think you were not born in sin read these -for the that called me a liar I will pray for you to understand Gods written word."
I agree with Mark, anyone who thinks that sinful acts is what makes them sinful are missing the point entirely. It is our very nature that is sinful even if we don't happen to be sinning at a given moment, we are predisposed to sinfulness.
The reason our sinfulness needs to be covered in the blood of Christ is evident, we cannot be sinless, we are still stuck in this sinful flesh.
Yes, after Christ makes us into a new creation we sin less because we are being cleansed daily. Our old self is "passing away", being replaced by the righteousness of Christ. But that righteousness is not our own, it is only Christ Who is righteous.
2 Corinthians 5:21 "21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
Ephesians 2:10 "10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Nothing, absolutely nothing, in the form of works or our own righteousness can save us from our sin and hell. Only trusting Christ can do that. Trusting Christ means that we agree with Him that we have no way of saving ourselves, that He died in our place, paying the penalty for sin that should have been ours. Then and only then will Christ change us into a new creation, making us like Him in our thoughts and desires.
Our spirit are made new but it is trapped in this sinful flesh so there is a constant battle going on to resist the flesh.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20
18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
God says to flee the sexual immorality, while at the same time telling us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we never sinned after being born again, then there would be no need for the command to flee the temptations.
Our Spirit desires to be holy, but our body continually tempts us as well as the demons who use our thoughts and bodies against us. There is a battle that must go on. If there is no battle that is raging then there is probably no salvation. Those who are unsaved don't bother to battle, they simply lean into whatever their desire is.
Ephesians 5:16-18 "16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,"
God is saying these things to believers, who are born again and sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise as a guarantee of our inheritance.
Ephesians 1:13-14 "13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory."
Those who think they do not sin after salvation would be miserable to live with, every time they have a bad attitude they would never apologize or admit anything was wrong. They would blame everyone else for their own behavior, claiming they don't sin.
We are to continually be confessing our sin to reconcile relationships, without this there is nothing but brokenness. Relationships can never be fixed or resolved without dialogue and confession. There can be no close relationships with those who hurt us but think they are perfect.
When we do wrong to others the Holy Spirit tells us and we are miserable until we make it right. Anyone who never admits their sinfulness are not being convicted by the Holy Spirit, how could they know Him and believe they never do wrong?
There are many people who believe they are earning their way to heaven through their works, this all by itself is sin and blasphemy, it is the expression of a person who loves themself, believing they have a part in their own salvation on any level, is a self willed one who refuses to admit that Christ is all that is needed and that He can make us what we need to be. It also denies the continual ongoing cleansing that must take place until the day we leave this earth.
Ephesians 5:2626 "to make her holy, cleansing her (the church)by the washing with water through the word,"
1 John 1:99 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:7 " But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
Romans 12:2 "2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."
The verses listed are written to born again believers who are sealed with the Holy Spirit, they were not written to the unsaved.

Wise in Your Own Eyes?
Those who choose to be influenced by demons through their addiction to self love, are not out of control, but rather making conscious and deliberate decisions to indulge in their dependence on self exaltation. The devil is more than willing and able to help them live their dream of superiority.
The narcissists dedication to themselves over anyone else, colors their thinking, causing them to see things in convoluted ways. They cannot see clearly, everything is clouded by their personal desire to assign greatness to themselves.
Those who see narcissists for what they are, are targeted for continual devaluation. The narcissist must find fault with everything that the target does. To validate the target in any way would be unthinkable. They must also work to turn others against the target through their deliberate misinterpretation of events while telling others their twisted findings.
When everything we do all the time is based on looking good on the outside, it is unlikely that we will pay very much attention to problems of the heart, spiritual growth is not given much attention.
All attention is given to hiding, fooling others and appearing to be something one is not on the inside. It's a form of acting that becomes a habit with as much power as any drug addiction.
It is devastating to the narcissist when they discover that others have blown their cover. Those who know the Word of God and are discerning, quickly identify pretender and actors. These are the people that narcissists come after for defeat.
An honest, open and forthright individual is despised by the narcissist because they are a threat to the self absorbed personality.
The narcissist knows they are fakers, that's why they may even say to us "I can't be fake." If they "say" they are not something, then they are revealing that they are that very thing they claim they are not. I have witnessed this a number of times. We don't even have to accuse them, they will blurt it out when no one else brought it up.
Proverbs 28:1 "1 The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion."
A discerning believer never trusts merely in words, instead they watch lifestyles, actions and reactions along with body language. The believer can be so adept at this, from constant practice and involvement with a narcissist that it only takes a few minutes with people to see the clues.
If we are grounded in the Word of God, the evidence of a person's mentality is quickly discerned. Of course we watch for lots of evidence before making a decision about their attitude, but once that evidence has been overwhelming, we can know through the Word what our actions and responses should be.
Proverbs 26:4 "…3 A whip is for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, And a rod for the back of fools. 4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him. 5 Answer a fool as his folly deserves, That he not be wise in his own eyes.…"
The verse in Proverbs can be confusing because it says to answer a fool according to his folly and then it says not to do so. There is a time to expose a fool for what he is and a time to walk away without answering them. The Holy Spirit can show us which is needed at the time of the encounter.
An open, honest and godly person does not have to hide, they do not fear being discovered. The narcissist hides because there is something to hide. They know they have evil inside and cannot take a chance on others discovering their heart.
They hide things while accusing others of making judgments and accusations against them, when in reality they are the ones who are doing this, not the target. They even hide when there is no reason to hide, when honesty would serve them better, this is the magnitude of the habit of hiding.
One of the devil's favorite tactics is to accuse others of doing evil when they are not but he is. This tactic has increased in our day, many will jump the gun to evaluate what others do, looking for evil to report, when there was no evil.
Manipulation and intimidation works on most people, that's why it is used in politics, families and government schools. Most people will give into those who act superior and those who intimidate them. We see this in colleges and seminaries, most people going to these places don't think for themselves, knowing it will lead to loneliness and isolation from the others.
Those who are critical and honest thinkers will not be popular nor will they have validation from others most of the time. The exciting thing is that when we walk with Christ we don't need the validation from people as the narcissists do. We are comfortable in our own skin filled with the Holy Spirit.
I often reflect on what the prophets must have encountered every day of their lives. We see them walking alone, being rejected and rebuffed, even lied against to demean them and their message. We do not see them having support even from their own families.
If you are born again, walking with Christ and dedicated to His Word, this will be your experience too. Lean into it, enjoy your time with Christ, soon we will be going home and will no longer have to deal with evil demonically inspired individuals.
Philippians 3:20 "…19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.…"

Abolish the Police: Insanity Reigns
WHAT????? Abolish police? Does she really believe that all crime will go away if there are not police. She is either a fool or a liar, perhaps both. It's the same mentality that has ruled our families and institutions of education for the past 40 years. The foolishness that all we have to do is play nice with one another, everyone will play nice back. But evil people never play nice, they are all about person aggrandizement and control over others. The more we remain silent and put up with their nonsense, the worse they become.
It is clear that if there were no police, the evil would flourish while the righteous will be persecuted. The laws are for the lawless.
1 Timothy 1:8-10 "…8 Now we know that the Law is good, if one uses it legitimately. 9 We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching…"
Isaiah 26:10 "10 Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the LORD."
It is clear from my study of narcissism that evil people do not get better when treated kindly, they get worse. The more we allow their evil with a plastic smile on our faces, so that they will like us and then like Jesus is a silly notion at best. The longer we allow evil in our midst, the more they feel empowered.
We are never to do bad to evil people, but we must speak the truth to them and avoid them if they will not listen. Their constant resistance to Christ and His principles will keep us on an unnecessary irrational roller coaster ride.
Isaiah 55:7-8 " 7 Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.…"Show less

Under A Modified Dictatorship
I am convinced we are living under a modified dictatorship right now, it will probably be official soon. "O" has been ignoring the constitution almost completely and few in government have addressed the treasonous nature of these acts.
The nation is being invaded through the guise of "refugees". Amassing an army under the radar will cause the country to be completely off guard and ill prepared.
Because the animal is too big. Far too many people in government just go along to keep themselves safe. By the time they figure it all out, that the plans and actions were schemes, it will be too late to stop it.
In order to save this country, God would have to remove nearly everyone in national government, nearly everyone in the state governments and lastly in the city governments. That is just how big the elephant in the room has become. The elephant has been there so long, no one notices his presence.
The devil has managed to take control of nearly all government agencies from top to bottom, leaving little influence from conservative or Christian entities. Those conservatives who speak out are quickly eliminated one way or another, to be replaced by more liberal and godless people.
America is under attack, not yet by the invading army, but has been in a war since the seventies through the indoctrination of our children. These godless leaders knew if they could spoon feed our children their lies that there is no God, that loving oneself was more important than anything else, they could create a nation of self absorbed, mindless drones that would fall into their trap easily without much effort. These narcissistic children will never fight for anything bigger than their own personal desires, they won't be a threat to the dictatorial government.
The teaching of self esteem has removed any sense of respect and honor for parents, police or any other authority who might tell them something they don't like to hear.
I am reminded of the "Brown Shirts" in Germany during WWII, they were arrogant, self absorbed individual who were convinced that they were better than those they would murder.
All it took to get the German boys to join the ranks was to convince them they were superior to those who didn't deserve to live. Haven't we already begun this mentality with the murdering of approximately 56 million babies? After all the babies have been declared sub-human, it is not necessary to protect them when they are inconvenient.
If you think we are not like Germany, then you have not been paying attention. The attitude of superiority runs rampant through everything in this culture. The violence is continuing and growing as more and more people demand their personal rights, even rights tho murder another human being simply because that person gets in the way.
Now with mindless, rebellious and selfish generations, the government will take over, remove all our freedoms, eliminate God from everything and very few in the next generation will notice. They will think all this is normal and acceptable as long as they are fed their entertainment, food and housing, nothing else will matter to them.
There are still a few of us left who see what is happening, but that number is dwindling too, as many older folks are just "going along" out of the fear of being left alone without help or nurturing.
Brothers and Sisters we can't allow the culture to change or mold us, it must be God's Word that keeps us.
Psalm 9:17 "17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."

The Upside Down Flag
Flying the American flag upside down is permitted in cases of deep distress to signal that Americans need help.
We are a nation in dire distress right now. The distress is not from without as in the past, but from deeply within.
Those who are in power now have hijacked the nation, covertly placing us under a modified dictatorship, so insidiously that most people have not noticed.
The country is under the impression that all is well when everything is upside down and sideways.
It is the story of "The Emperor’s New Clothes", all over again. Tell the people that the naked Emperor in the parade has beautiful new cloths and they will rave with glee at how wonderful are those new clothes.
Only one little girl in the crowd had the thinking power and fortitude to shout out, "but he has no clothes on."
With every new filthy government mandate that undermines our morality, there are only a few who make a fuss, most everyone else concurs with the mandates and begins to comply to fit in.
Shortly after the decision to allow same sex marriage many churches began to jump on the band wagon in favor of acceptance from the world. They "prided" themselves about how accepting they were.
Romans 1:31-32 "…31 They are senseless, faithless, heartless, merciless. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only continue to do these things, but also approve of those who practice them."
1 Corinthians 5:1-2 "5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father's wife. 2 And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you."
The churches today are prideful in thinking they are so wonderful because they tolerate and embrace sin in the body of Christ. Instead of preaching holiness and putting the sinner out to discipline them and save their eternal soul, they endorse and encourage the very things God hates.

Liberals Live Hypocrisy
Liberals hardly ever make sense and are almost always inconsistent. They are narcissists who think the rules don't apply to them even when they make the rules.
Those who say you shouldn't judge others will take away your freedom to choose whether or not to bake a cake for someone about to engage in an abomination.
Liberals shout out the right to privacy while denying others their privacy in terms of gun ownership to protect themselves.
Why is it that liberals are so inconsistent? It's because they are narcissists, acting like spoiled brats they demand what they want and deny others the right to do the same thing.
