Words Like "Just Love Them"

There has been a growing disgust in me for those who say words like "just love them", meaning just be happy around them, affirm everything they want to do even if it is going to destroy them in the end.

I am often reminded of the bridge from which someone is going to jump and standers-by watched with big smiles yelling out we love you, go ahead and jump, we won't judge it or try to stop you, just kill yourself.

This is how it sounds to me when enablers help someone destroy their lives by saying and doing nothing to deter them. NO THAT'S NOT LOVE AT ALL, ITS INDIFFERENCE WHICH IS HATE.

The standers-by might as well tells the truth and say, we don't care anything about you, we just want to feel good about ourselves.

Our modern generation does not know what love is, they play at it as though it is merely big smiles and happy laughs without thinking for a nanosecond the consequences of the choices of those they pretend to love.

Hebrews 3:12-14 "12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.…"

Ezekiel 3:17-19 "…17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.…"

If you are a born again believer and have neglected to read your Bible you will be deceived and influenced by the destructive psychology of today that reduces God's principles to mere suggestions, even suggestions that do not work anymore in our day, as though God didn't understand about our day.

Numbers 23:19
19 “God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent;
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

When God told us to rebuke, admonish, and correct daily one another as an encouragement to continue in obedience to God, He meant it for all time, it never changes. People do not change over the centuries, the hearts of man are no different today than they have always been, that is depraved and rebellious without Christ.

In all generations, it takes faith in Christ for Him to save us, cleanse us, and keep us until He comes for us. It is all His work and is needed in every human being.

Ecclesiastes 7:10 "Do not say, “Why is it that the former days were better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this."

Hebrews 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

James 1:17 "17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow."

If you want that gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ then you will have to confess your sinfulness and trust Him. Then He will send His Holy Spirit to come and live in you beginning the sanctification, that is cleansing to be able to walk in righteousness. Hallelujah!!!

Anyone who does this will be emotionally and Spiritually blessed having been changed into a completely different person. Not of their own work trying real hard but resting in Christ as He changes their heart.
