Christ works the good fruit in those who are born again because that fruit is the very character of Christ in us.
The fruit of the Spirit is not works but character qualities that become a part of us causing us to think and act like Christ.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law."
Anyone who is offending people regularly as a lifestyle are not born again. Those who have been changed by Christ are deeply grieved when they harm anyone even accidently.
