Reparations for past injuries to groups of people who were never alive during the time of the atrocities is the worst kind of injustice. It's the same as sending a son to jail for what the father did.
Would you agree to send an 18-year-old son to jail for the crime his father committed against someone? Everyone with a rational mindset would say that would be absurd.
Deuteronomy 24:16 "16 “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin."
Jeremiah 31:30 "30 But everyone shall die for his own iniquity. Each man who eats sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge."
Ezekiel 18:20 "20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself."
This is the reason "family feuds" or "racial feuds" are so irrational. Holding a grudge against someone about a sin or crime because they are related to the perpetrator is the height of insanity. And, even worse, holding someone accountable who wasn't even related to the perpetrator merely for being the same race is madness and derangement
Reparations required for those who not only did not commit the crime but even their ancestors were not here to commit the crime is complete insanity.
Sadly, the devil is attempting to pit one race against another without any reason, merely a fantasy in their own minds to be able to express the hatred and anger that is in their own heart.
These irrational mindsets are a result of those who hate God and everyone else. There is anger so deep in their hearts, desiring a reason to justify their hatred, even if it means making up fantasies.
Those who promote this sort of injustice, causing riots and turning people against one another, are being controlled by the devil while thinking it's their own idea. Pray for them, we know they are on their way to hell, and only Christ can expunge that hostility from their cold, stony hearts.
May the born-again believers see this for what it is, tactics of the devil to ruin relationships, and refuse to participate, either by not responding to it or supporting it in any way.
The antidote to this poison is to become the love of Christ Who lives in us toward those who have done nothing to us.
