God Knows Your Heart?

My answer to those who justify their sin by saying; "God knows my heart", is this:

"Yes God knows your rebellious heart, that you don't care about loving and obeying Him, His blessing is not on you, no matter how prosperous you feel right now. Your spirit will continue down the spiral until you confess your sin.

John 14:15 "14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. 15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever."

Answered prayer is conditional to obedience to Him. Christ will not answer the prayers of those who are in opposition to His instruction, even if and especially if they are born again believers.

Christ will discipline those who are saved, to bring them back into submission to Him.

John 9:31 "31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but He does listen to the one who worships Him and does His will."

Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"

If anyone thinks they can continue in sin without consequences, they are sadly mistaken. God will bring difficulties to those who are stubborn, refusing to obey Christ will bring trials, even lifelong trials that may never be able to be resolved.

When we confess our sin, asking for the strength to turn from them, then God will honor that prayer and begin the healing from sin. There is no healing from sin without confession of it and a desire to be changed by Christ.

1 John 1:8-10 "…8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.…

Those who think they can live in sin and still remain in fellowship with Christ are in serious error, so much so, it may be an indication they are not born again. Yes, believers can be this way, but when the entire lifestyle is one of never confessing and even becoming angry continually at those who chastise them, there may never have been a born again experience.

If someone finds themselves arguing to continue in their sin, it would be good to challenge them to ask God if they are saved, because the fruit is bad.

2 Corinthians 13:5 " 5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you actually fail the test? "

Matthew 7:17-19 "…17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.…"

2 Corinthians 7:9-10 "…9 And now I rejoice, not because you were made sorrowful, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you felt the sorrow that God had intended, and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

Want to be right with God again? Want to get right with God for the first time?

Then the answer is to confess your sin, ask the Lord to cleanse you and watch what He will do in you. It is a miracle when the Lord changes our hearts into a new creation. We no longer think as we did nor do we want the things we did before. We are utterly and completely changed, not of our own efforts, but because of His work in us.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 "17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:…"

Ephesians 2:9-10 "…9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life."

When this happens we will rejoice in the new us! We do not look back to the old us except to praise God for what He has done. Then we will have a desire to share what God did for us!

Philippians 3:13
"Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,"

Hallelujah!!! Let no one attempt to take you back the memories of the old you, tell them all that is under the blood of Christ Who made you into a new person. Let God deal with those who refuse to admit to the new you. Let no one stop you from sharing what Christ did for you. Anyone who perpetually attempts to ruin your joy by accusing you of the past, smile a big smile and say, "hallelujah, that is under the blood and the Lord told me to leave the past in the past."

NOW THAT'S HOPE AND PEACE AND JOY!!!!
