Immature adults were indulged children. Once a child has grown into an adult after being taught to think of himself first, there is no helping them to learn better. They have become hard wired to automatically think of themselves and become enraged when anyone suggests differently.
It takes becoming born again for their hearts to be changed into loving, empathetic and kind human beings.
Only in Christ will our thoughts be directed to toward God and others before ourselves.
1 Corinthians 2:15-16 "…15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. 16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."
2 Corinthians 5:16-18 "…16 So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away.
